WHY CHOOSE KARIN?

Begin with the right teacher/coach to guide you to understand, organise, structure, research and write. Then the content sorts itself out and becomes secondary to the understanding of requirements.

A relationship of trust between teacher and student is key to a student’s academic success. Karin inspires and challenges students’ previously held unconscious beliefs and assumptions, with an emphasis on personal growth and self reflexivity.

Karin has a particular passion for social justice, guiding you to move from disempowerment to empowerment.

Indigenous University students:

Funded tutoring is available through your university.

As part of the Australian Governments closing the Educational Gap targets, the Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme (ITAS) provides a funded tutor to assist Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students. It is available to all eligible undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students though your universities Academic Indigenous centre or Indigenous research faculty.

Karin predominantly tutors Indigenous university students, from 17-65 years of age. She has repeat students each semester who request her tutoring and coaching. Karin has unique insights and the ability to break down barriers to learning.

Her open and friendly approach develops connected trusting relationships with students. She has guided many students to move from disempowerment – ‘failure’, fear of their own abilities, fear of ‘authority’ and of the ‘system’ – to having a voice, moving to further study and becoming more confident, and even leaders in their fields.

Having someone to guide you makes all the difference to move from powerlessness into power and from fear to freedom.

But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.
